  12. I'd be willing to bet it's your phone line...  I've had my Sportster 28.8 
  13. for over a year and it's been great.  Only problem is that on my phone 
  14. line I typically get 24000 connects...  Once in a LONG while I might get 
  15. 28800, but it drops carrier after 10-15 minutes.  At first I thought it 
  16. could be the modem, but I tried another phone line in the house and I get 
  17. solid 28800 every time... I hate telcos... ;)

  23. : When I do a report, the modem shows a SN of 25 to 28 dB.  Is that typical, or low?  The only change to the internal setup is I turned off MNP5 compression.  I have also tried turning of VFC, and 3429 symbol rate temporarily, but still no 28800 connects.
